This beautiful new park is dedicated to the life and spirit of Kristen Ardinger Karn and her beloved dog, Sophie. Kristen was an avid animal lover and built her life in Jackson Hole around them. Not only was her business based on caring for them but she also volunteered her time at PAWS and the Animal Shelters in our community. This dog park will be a beautiful place for people to visit and spend some time with their furry friends, one of Kristen’s favorite things to do!
See you at Sophie’s Place – 5:30 Thursday, the 26th – 250 Scott Lane in Jackson!

PAWS is now actively recruiting Dog Park Ambassadors!
If you have some free time & would like to volunteer to be part of an elite pack of Dog Park volunteers, please take a look at your schedule starting Monday, August 23. We are looking for people to spend an hour or two per week at the PAWS Dog Park (preferably the same day each week, indefinitely) – helping to educate people about the rules & encouraging them to keep the park clean and beautiful.
If you are interested in this new volunteer program, we can give you all the details & start training you to be a PAWS Dog Park Ambassador. To confirm your interest in this great volunteer opportunity, call PAWS today at 307-734-2441 or email amy@pawsofjh.org. Ambassadors must be at least 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult.

On the second Saturday of September, over 3,000 people come together for one of the biggest celebrations of community spirit and support in the country, Old Bill’s Fun Run! This year, Old Bill’s will take place on September 11, 2010. A portion of the donations made through Old Bill’s will be matched by the Community Foundation, so please — remember PAWS for your Old Bill’s donation. See you there!
