Sheriff’s Department Dog needs surgery!
The Teton County Sheriff’s Department is wishing for a new left hip for its drug-sniffing deputy, “Duce” this Christmas. The 8-year old golden retriever has been with the Sheriff’s Department for 5-years after he was rescued from a Colorado Animal Shelter. Duce’s hip has been bothering him for a long time, but once he gets this surgery he’ll be healthy enough for 3-4 more years of work.
The surgery will cost several thousand dollars and at this time the Department simply does not have money. That’s where PAWS comes in. We’ve started a Law Enforcement Canine Fund for Duce and any other police dog in need. To help Duce for Christmas, make a tax-deductible donation to PAWS of Jackson Hole’s Law Enforcement Canine Fund. Stop by our office at 250 West Pearl Street, call the office at 734-2441 or go online at pawsofjh.org! Just click DONATE NOW and make a note in the “special instructions” section that your donation is for Duce.
We thank you and Duce thanks you, too!

I am a friend of John LaBrec and knew Duce when we lived in Jackson. Please call me and let me know how I can donate. I can’t seem to get it to open .
